Neko Health raises $700 million ahead of U.S. launch

Neko Health raised $700 million and is preparing to launch in the U.S.

Why it matters: The round signals continued investor appetite for consumer health-screening models. It also gives Neko more firepower as it readies a U.S. entry that will test demand, operations and regulation in a larger market.

  • Neko Health said July 15, 2026 it closed a $700 million Series C financing.
  • Lightspeed Venture Partners led the round, with O.G. Venture Partners co-leading.
  • Axios reported Neko was valued at about $7 billion; the company did not disclose a valuation.
  • Neko says more than 350,000 people have joined its waitlist or registered, and more than 100,000 have been scanned in the UK and Sweden.

Neko Health, the preventive-care startup co-founded by Spotify's Daniel Ek and Hjalmar Nilsonne, said it closed a $700 million Series C as it prepares to expand into the U.S. The round was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners and co-led by O.G. Venture Partners, with participation from Atomico, General Catalyst, Lakestar, Liberty City Ventures, Positive Sum and BDT & MSD.

The company did not disclose a valuation in its announcement. Axios reported Neko was valued at about $7 billion.

Neko says its service combines full-body scanning, clinician review and bloodwork. Its website says it is coming to New York City in 2026. Bloomberg Law reported in March that Neko was working through U.S. regulatory approval and expected its first American location to open in New York as soon as spring 2026.

Neko said demand has been strong so far: more than 350,000 people have joined its waitlist or registered, and more than 100,000 people in the UK and Sweden have already been scanned. The company currently operates in Sweden and the UK, including Manchester, Birmingham and several London locations.

By the numbers

  • $700 million - Series C funding Neko said it closed on July 15, 2026.
  • 350,000+ - People who have joined Neko's waitlist or registered.
  • 100,000+ - People scanned in the UK and Sweden.

Yes, but: Neko's U.S. timeline is still partly dependent on regulatory approval, and Bloomberg Law's March report pointed to a spring 2026 opening that may have shifted by the time of the funding announcement.

What's next: Neko says it is coming to New York City in 2026, but has not publicly given a firm U.S. opening date.
