We're building a product people genuinely love and are fortunate to work with many of the world's most ambitious companies. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Accounting Lead to help build the financial infrastructure that supports the next stage of the company.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for a builder to own and lead to own the accounting function at Granola.

You'll be our first in-house accounting hire, responsible for everything from month-end close and technical accounting to audits, tax, compliance, and financial systems. You'll manage our external accounting partners while building the processes and infrastructure needed to support a rapidly growing business.

This role is intentionally hands-on. We're looking for someone who enjoys building systems, improving processes, and staying close to the work. You'll have the opportunity to shape how accounting operates at Granola from the ground up, using thoughtful process design, technology, and automation to build a finance function that scales efficiently.

You'll work closely with Sales, Revenue Operations, Legal, and Finance, helping ensure our commercial processes scale alongside the company. Success in this role will come from combining deep accounting expertise with strong business judgment and an instinct for building scalable systems.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN

- Month-end close and financial reporting

- US GAAP compliance and technical accounting

- Audit, tax, and statutory compliance

- Multi-entity accounting and transfer pricing

- Management of external accounting, tax, and audit partners

- Accounting systems and future ERP implementations

- Quote-to-cash process improvements with Sales and Revenue Operations
